The Carnival "Miracle" ship
First off, I love Carnival cruises! This was my 2nd one and we are planning a Carnival cruise for November 2012.
The ship itself was great! It is one of the newer ships that Carnival has to offer, and you can tell! The boat was so big, I'm not sure we saw it all, even after exploring. It was worth it to have a baloney off our stateroom as well. It was a BEAUTIFULLY decorated ship (we heard so many people make comments as well) and it was really bright and fun! It had 16...yes 16!...themed bars and lounges, the service was very nice and helpful. Our stateroom guy was so nice and made sure we were always happy.
The stateroom itself was on the small side (and we were on the 7th deck...the 2nd highest of rooms) but it was very nice and was very well laid out. They do provide dispensers with shampoo and shower gel, but pack your own hair care products if you take your hair seriously.
I would give the food on the ship a 8 out of 10. We ordered room service 16 times (on an 8day cruise!) as usually that had the best food...especially the dessert. The dinner/dessert in the seated dining room would either be FANTASTIC or HORRIBLE. There was no in between.
We paid a little extra for a private balcony, as our cruise was 8 days, and it was worth it. It had 2 full size lounge chairs and a table.
I have been on 3 cruises now, this was my 2nd Carnival (the other was a Celebrity, which I hated, to be quite honest) and it was the nicest one by far. I would definitely do this same ship again!
Here is a video (NOT done by me!) of the inside of the Miracle.
